Green India Mission 2030

The Mission

Green India Mission 2030 is a flagship mission by We Grow Forest Foundation to plant 10 million trees by 2030. The mission aims in bringing back lost biodiversity by recreating and restoring an ecosystem to support life on Earth. We believe restoring ecosystems is the solution for mitigating climate change. We aim to restore nature’s buffers against zoonotic diseases and pandemics and help humankind adapt to the changing climate.

Seeds of Change

A mission to plant 10 million trees by 2030

Green India Mission 2030 is a pioneer project to carry out the Green India Mission aiming to increase forest cover throughout the country. The decade action plan for Green India Mission 2030 will be implemented as several seeds of change projects through appropriate We Grow Forest Foundation Chapters formed across the country. The multidimensional project will ensure improved ecosystem services, biodiversity, carbon sequestration, hydrological services, and appraisal of rural communities and the national economy. The healthier our ecosystems are, the healthier the planet and its people.

Planting to Growing trees

The mission is not just about planting trees. We secure the survival and growth of newly planted saplings and ensure that these forests survive for future generations. Also, we spread the ideology of Green Consciousness to cultivate a behavioural change among people. All the volunteers and the chapter members will be given appropriate training regarding the systematic methodology to be followed in Green India Mission 2030 activities.
