United Nations SDGs

A Journey of Partnership with the United Nations

Since its inception in 2020, We Grow Forest Foundation has been privileged to work alongside the United Nations in our shared commitment to environmental preservation and sustainable development. Our journey from humble beginnings to being recognised on an international platform is a story of dedication, resilience, and an unbreakable spirit to make the Earth a better place. This year, in October 2024, our Managing Trustee, Dr. Merin Jacob, and our Secretary, Syed Ali, were invited for a consultation with the United Nations; an achievement that few environmental NGOs in India have attained. Representing our foundation on such a prestigious stage, these leaders have engaged in pivotal discussions, from Geneva Peace Week to collaborative efforts for organising the Planet Earth Summit with the United Nations. This honour is a testament to the unwavering efforts of our team and supporters, who have worked tirelessly to make We Grow Forest Foundation a force for environmental good, inspiring countless individuals and organisations worldwide. The recognition from the UN has reaffirmed our belief in the power of collective action and the impact of a single voice when amplified by many.

We are honoured to announce that our statement for the United Nations consultation, representing We Grow Forest Foundation, is now available on the official UN website. This document is a testament to our unwavering commitment to mental health, human rights, and the dignity of every individual. Within this statement lies the voice of each person we have served, the collective hopes of communities we strive to uplift, and our vision for a compassionate world where no one is left behind. Every insight shared reflects the belief that true progress can only be achieved when we prioritise humanity, kindness, and justice. As we continue this journey with the United Nations, we remain deeply grateful for the trust bestowed upon us and are inspired to work even harder to fulfill our mission. We believe that together, with your support, we can create a future where harmony between humanity and nature is not just a dream but a shared reality for all. Together, let’s create a future filled with empathy, empowerment, and resilience for all.

Each SDG represents a vital need for our planet and its people, and through our efforts, we unite these goals into a holistic mission that nurtures both the environment and humanity. Our commitment to the SDGs is a testament to our belief that true progress is possible only when every community, ecosystem, and individual has a voice and a chance to thrive.
